The Coyote is a pattern I developed for fishing rivers where stoneflies are present. This fly is heavely weighted to get down quickly, even in fast water. The coyote fur tail and collar of this fly add movement, the ice dub and cone provide the flash. Fish this fly like you would a streamer or fish it like you would a big stone fly nymph, I have used both methods with great success in the Androscoggin River here in NH. I tie these in size 10 or 8 , be sure to specify size when ordering.
